In a decisive step towards strengthening Pakistan’s global technology footprint, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), under the directive and personal intervention of the Honorable Federal Minister, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has secured a major breakthrough in inbound visa facilitation for the country’s ICT industry.
Working in close collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, this initiative delivers on a long-standing industry demand for seamless, efficient, and investor-friendly visa processes, ensuring that Pakistan is more open than ever to global engagement.
Under this landmark facilitation:
- GCC Nationals now enjoy visa-free entry to Pakistan for up to 90 days.
- U.S. Citizens are eligible for a three-month, multiple-entry visa, free of charge, under the “Visa Prior to Arrival” facility for business or tourism.
Beyond these measures, the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) will provide end-to-end visa assistance for international customers, partners, and investors associated with Pakistan’s ICT companies, whether they require a visa on arrival or a regular visa.
This milestone reflects a clear and confident message to the world: Pakistan is open for innovation, open for partnerships, and open for investment. It stands as proof of the Government’s unwavering commitment to building a globally connected, business-friendly digital economy that empowers entrepreneurs, attracts investors, and fosters cutting-edge innovation. With these bold steps, Pakistan is not just participating in the global tech arena, we are shaping its future.
Think Tech, Think Pakistan.
