GREAT NEWS FOR PAKISTAN’S DIGITAL AND IT COMMUNITY!
The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) commends the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) for commencing the licensing of Virtual Private Network (VPN) service providers under the reinstated Class Value Added Services (CVAS–Data) licensing regime, a critical step toward ensuring VPN usage in Pakistan remains secure, lawful, and fully compliant with national regulations.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment and guidance of the Federal Minister for IT & Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, whose efforts continue to strengthen Pakistan’s digital ecosystem and support the needs of its rapidly growing IT industry.
By introducing a clear and regulated licensing structure, PTA aims to create a safe, compliant, and interruption-free digital environment, enabling businesses and individuals to access global networks without risk or uncertainty.
Under this framework, PTA has granted Class Licenses to the following approved providers:
Alpha 3 Cubic (Steer Lucid), Zettabyte (Crest VPN), Nexilium Tech (Kestrel VPN), UKI Conic Solutions (QuiXure VPN), and Vision Tech 360 (Kryptonyme VPN).
These authorized providers are the only approved entities permitted to deliver lawful VPN services in Pakistan. All organizations, IT companies, call centers, and freelancers are strongly urged to obtain VPN services exclusively from these licensed providers to ensure compliance with national regulations.
Obtaining a VPN from licensed providers also removes the need for separate VPN registration, resulting in simpler processes, smoother compliance, and stronger cybersecurity across Pakistan’s expanding digital economy.
This development marks another important milestone toward Zero Downtime, enhanced data protection, and uninterrupted global connectivity, all essential for empowering Pakistan’s IT exporters and maintaining global trust.
At PSEB, we celebrate every initiative that strengthens Pakistan’s digital backbone. Together with PTA and the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication, we remain committed to building a secure, connected, and globally competitive Digital Pakistan.
